Manipulations
This class is one of the most important pistol courses that you can take with TAC-1. Master pistol reloading and clear malfunctions, moving off the line of force, threat assessment and area scanning, various Ready Positions, Ammunition management and more. The students will also be introduced to the concept of combat shooting such as shooting in pairs, performing precise headshots, failure drills, multiple target engagement and other alternative shooting drills.
Shooting Positions
Pistol-II Phase(B) will introduce the important concept of shooting from Cover & Concealment. This challenging 1-day (8 hrs) firearms training course focuses on engaging threats using cover from various shooting positions thus minimizing self as target. Furthermore, the concept of moving off the line-of-force and moving into cover while engaging a threat will be instructed.
Gun Safety
Safe Start is designed to ensure you feel comfortable getting your first shot off giving you the positive experience. We believe that your first shot is the most important round fired in learning how to shoot and enjoy firearms. We will guide you every step of the way to make sure you understand the elements needed to be successful. Will cover a brief overview of Use of Deadly Force. Law of possession, storage and transporting firearms.
Practical Shooting
Advanced workshop is designed as a skill building session for those who attended TAC-1 Pistol-II Modules and higher or LE training or equivalent. Topics will cover indexing, confirmation, movements, Positional shooting, and friendly competitions to push the students to the next level.
The Pistol-1(a) is designed to introduce the basic combat/defensive shooting concept to those who are new to TAC-1. This class is formulated to prepare for further regimented training in defensive shooting. The emphasis is on building the working knowledge of safe handling of the pistol and marksmanship fundamental utilizing the internal attentional focus modality.
This challenging 1-day (8 hrs) classification and certification is a culmination of Pistol-1 and Pistol-2 modules tested to evaluate the student's ability to put all of the elements together. Upon successful completion and scoring the student will receive a classified ranking and a certificate of completing from TAC-1. This course is demanding and every round fired will be scored.
