Safe Start is designed for individuals of all experience levels with firearms. It addresses the public’s demand for a comprehensive gun safety program tailored for new purchasers. This 8 or 4-hour introductory course is specifically intended for those who are unfamiliar with firearm safety and operation. The program aims to help participants develop safe firearm-handling skills and establish a foundational understanding of basic shooting techniques.

Ammo: 100 Rounds – Available for purchase
Prerequisite:  None

Classroom and Practical Application 0800 to 1200

• Note-taking utensil
• Semi-Auto or Revolver Pistol (unloaded)
• NO Live Ammunition (dry practice only)
• Dummy Rounds (5 minimum) – Also Available onsite
• Eye protection (Prefer clear with no color or slight tint)
• Ear protection (both outer and inner protections are recommended)
• Water and snacks (also available on-site for purchase)
• Gun bag/case to store and transport firearm

Live Fire Application 1230 to 1630 (In conjunction w/ workshop)

• Eye protection (Prefer clear with no color or some tint is ok)
• Ear protection (both outer and inner protections are recommended)
• Shoes/boots for protection (for mud, dirt, uneven surface)
• Cap or Hat (highly recommended top reduce glare and heat)
• Appropriate attire for weather & flying hot brass
• 50 rounds of ammo
