Objective:

This course aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge regarding reloading techniques, ammunition management, and the procedures for clearing malfunctions in semi-automatic firearms. Additionally, students will be introduced to the principles of combat shooting, which include shooting in pairs, executing precise headshots, conducting failure drills, engaging multiple targets, and other alternative shooting exercises. The instruction will emphasize precise mechanics, ensuring that each aspect is taught with meticulous attention to detail.

The focus is on the manipulation and operation of handguns, which includes combat and administrative reloading as well as malfunction clearance, in order to ensure the firearm remains operational for optimal survivability.

Recommended Prerequisite: TAC-1 SAFE START or an equivalent program is highly recommended. You must understand the legal ramifications of using deadly force, be familiar with the nomenclature of the pistol, and have a clear understanding of the pistol’s cycle of operation. Additionally, you must be able to handle your pistol safely to begin our Defensive Pistol series.
